What is a hackathon?

Hackathons are competitive coding events where teams have limited time to develop a solution to a real-world problem using technology. In teams of 4, students will work together to build a project and pitch their solution to a panel of judges for the chance to win awesome prizes. Overall, hackathons are here to provide a supportive environment with free food, mentors, and awesome activities to help you learn and succeed!

Do I have to stay online all the time?

Although we encourage you to participate in as many workshops as you can to maximize your experience at Concode. Feel free to log off and take breaks in between.

Do I need a team to register?

You don't need a team to participate. You can find a team on our discord or team forming sessions.

Who can attend?

Anybody and everybody-irrespective of your educational background, gender or age. However, we only let high school and college students to make the hacks but you're more than welcome to attend workshops and have fun!

Do I need prior experience?

Absolutely not! We are a beginner-friendly hackathon and will have a lot of introductory workshops.

Can I work on a previous project?

To ensure fairness, we want all participants to start a project from scratch once they form a team at our event. Feel free to brainstorm ideas beforehand!
